Breaking Barriers and Building Inclusion
Press release
Australia is supporting Solomon Islands’ lead agency for people with disabilities to ensure equal access to social and economic opportunities.
A recent workshop with government focal points, led by the Disabled People’s Association of Solomon Islands, provided practical steps to government ministries to implement the National Disability Policy 2023-2031, which aims to increase #inclusion and #accessibility for people with disabilities.
As CEO Casper Fa’asala says, “If we can make schools, clinics, markets and transport accessible for everyone, then people with disabilities have a wealth of skills and ideas to contribute to our community, and improve their lives.”
Together, under the SIAusPartnership, we’re paving the way for meaningful inclusion in everything we do
