SIIP is calling for suitably qualified consultants to prepare detailed designs for two wharves at Noro Port, Western Province. Works include:
Scoping will require engagement with stakeholders, review of geotechnical site investigations, consideration of climate change and social and environmental safeguards, and the preparation of concept, preliminary and detailed designs, supported by drawings, specifications, BoQs and cost estimates. Independent technical reviews will also be conducted concurrently as the designs progress.

SIIP will shortly be calling tenders for the design of a new wharf in Buala, the provincial capital of Isabel Province. The work at Buala will involve the design of a new wharf for inter-island ships.
The scope of services will include engagement with stakeholders, consideration of climate change and social and environmental safeguards, and the preparation of concept, and preliminary and detailed designs. Tender documents will be issued in the next one to two months. Adverts will be placed in local newspapers and the ‘AusConnect’ website, with the tender documents available to download free of charge from the SIIP website.

The Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP) is establishing a database of local Solomon Islands building, engineering and supply contractors and consultants willing to partner with eligible regional companies to deliver Solomon Islands infrastructure priorities.
Registration is free. The database aims to increase local content opportunities for local business. SIIP will use the database to connect local and regional companies during calls for tenders - connecting local expertise and creating infrastructure partnerships.
