Empowering Abilities, Transforming Lives: Bethesda Graduates Celebrated

Australia, together with the Solomon Islands Prime Minister and New Zealand High Commissioner, salutes the seven inspiring graduates from the Bethesda Disability Training Centre as they set out on a career construction.
Australia is proud to have supported one of the seven students, Michael Fadai, to complete his studies, which included a specialisation in carpentry. Another three supported students will be finishing their studies next year.
Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele emphasised the importance of #inclusion to build a stronger Solomon Islands: “Being disabled does not mean being disqualified. Together, as a nation, we must ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to building a stronger Solomon Islands.”
People like Michael are changing the way people think about disabilities and we wish all the graduates the very best with their new skills.
