The Green Construction Training Program (GCTP) is breaking barriers for women in Solomon Islands by providing skills and qualifications in the male-dominated construction industry. This SIIP initiative, delivered through APTC and Solomon Islands National University, trained 20 women in:

1. Construction skills – Certificate II in Construction (APTC).
2. Solar power systems – Design, installation, and maintenance training.
3. Employment pathways – Supporting women into industry roles.

One year on, 50% of participants have secured paid employment, demonstrating how targeted training can create opportunities and strengthen local capacity.
